Skincare and the Weather

Summer is here and we're all going crazy over the many changes that are happening around us. The biggest thing right now is that we've all become busier. The kids are home, our work schedules are a mess, and we're being pulled in at least 3 different directions at any given moment. That being said, it's almost guaranteed that something will slip and that's usually self care.
Having hiccups in the schedule are totally understandable this time of the year, but it's also the worst time to neglect skincare. Now that we are deep into this Summer weather, I'd like to leave you with a few rules for balancing your glow on the go.

Saves facials for after vacation. The changes in climate will immediately wreak havoc on your skin. You'll need that facial once you return home to calm your skin.
Wear your sunscreen. Yes, melanated skin still burns. Black Girl Sunscreen is best for darker tones in every occasion.
If smooth skin is your goal, schedule wax appointments at least 24-48 hours before trips to warmer climates. It prevents skin irritations like redness and tenderness; especially for first-timers.
Adjust your routine according to the weather. It's very common to experience oiliness during the warmer months that may require you to change your moisturizer.
Making adjustments to your routine can assist in keeping your skincare goals on track by not damaging your skin as we are working to treat and maintain a healthy glow.
Remember, what you do outside of your appointments is the support system for the transformations we seek inside the treatment room and I'm always here to help.
See you soon!
